Mātauranga Reo Kaimahi Our purpose at Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust is to uphold the mana and tino rangatiratanga of Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi by advancing the health, educational, cultural, social, economic and political development of Ngāi Te Rangi iwi.

For nearly 30 years, we have collaborated with hundreds of organisations on thousands of projects in Tauranga Moana and around Aotearoa. At Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi, our imagination knows no bounds. With the full strength of the Iwi behind us, our team is dedicated to working with our whānau and hapū to make a difference to whānau lives. Te Rangihouhiri began his journey from Whāngārā to Hakurānui to Whakapau Kōrero to Pōporohuamea where he died. Following his death and after many significant battles, his descendants who became known as Ngāi Te Rangi settled in Tauranga Moana.
