A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Takatāpui advocate to harness their passion and make a difference in our iwi. 

Te Ohu Uenuku is created to provide services and information to the LGBTQ+ Community within Ngāi Te Rangi. We are looking for someone who can empower our Tangata Takatāpui and educate whānau on how to better understand and support their Queer whānau members.
 
Key tasks include:

• Building iwi capability with supporting resources
• Advocacy for the queer community
• Support staff
• Manage contracts

 
Key responsibilities and attributes:

• Transforming and connecting whanau
• Excellent relationship skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinker
• Experience in rainbow community advocacy
• 2-5 years work experience
