You will be part of our HbU service that goes out every week night, 6-9pm across Tauranga Moana.

Days: Monday to Friday

Organisational Purpose:
To uphold the mana and tino rangatiratanga o Ngai Te Rangi by advancing its cultural, social, economic and political development.
This Unit represents the largest operational unit within the organisation. It is committed to improving the quality of life and increasing lifestyle options of Ngāi Te Rangi uri and the vulnerable residing within the wider Tauranga Moana.
Our professional and culturally sensitive service delivery is guided by best practice models consistent with its contractual and quality requirements. This service is also underpinned by maintaining the tikanga and kawa of Ngāi Te Rangi.
We try hard by working with key stakeholders to address health and social issues with positive co-dependency outcomes for our whanau.

​NOTICE OF NGĀI TE RANGI TRUSTEE ELECTION
 
The board of the Ngāi Te Rangi Settlement Trust (NST) and Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust (TRONIT) are calling for nominations for 5 Trustee positions on the board.
Nominations closed 12 noon, 23 November 2020.
 
NOMINATION RESULTS
 
On the 23rd November 2020, in accordance with the Ngāi Te Rangi Settlement Trust (NST) and the Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust (TRONIT) Trust Deeds, the following hapū representatives have been elected as Trustees onto the Ngāi Te Rangi Settlement Trust and the Te Runanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust Boards.

Ngāti Tapu, Waikari                                                                 Puhirake Ihaka

PROCESS AFTER THE CLOSE OF NOMINATIONS
If more than one nomination is received for any Hapū Community, an election for each candidate will be held to determine the Trustee to represent that Hapū Community.
Ngāi Tamawhariua, Te Rangihouhiri received two nominations, they are as follows:
  • Mr Taparoto Nicholson
  • Mr Julian Rolleston
 
ELECTION PROCESS
Voting papers will be sent out to all adult members registered on the Ngāi Tamawhariua, Te Rangihouhiri hapū community data base on Wednesday 16 December 2020. To be eligible to vote, you must be a registered adult member of Ngāi Te Rangi, before the 14th December 2020.
To register please go to the Tribal Register at www.ngaiterangi.com. Alternatively contact the NST office on 07 5753 765 or email reception@ngaiterangi.org.nz.
Voting will close at 12 noon Wednesday 06 January 2021.
 
The election results will be available as soon as all special voting papers have been checked. It is hoped this will be completed by Friday 08 January 2021. The Returning Officer will email the election results to the candidates as soon as they are available. The results will than be posted on the Iwi Website on Monday 11th January 2021

Please go to the Tribal Register at www.ngaiterangi.com to check that your contact details are up to date, particularly your email address. Alternatively, contact the NST office on 07 5753 765 or email reception@ngaiterangi.org.nz. ​Te Rangihouhiri began his journey from Whāngārā to Hakurānui to Whakapau Kōrero to Pōporohuamea where he died. Following his death and after many significant battles, his descendants who became known as Ngāi Te Rangi settled in Tauranga Moana.
