Notice is hereby given for the Annual General Meetings of
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust and
Ngāi Te Rangi Settlement Trust.
This will be held at

Tertiary Education Grant Applications 2024

Our Tertiary Education Grant Applications for 2024 have officially opened as of
Thursday 1st February 2024
All applications are to be received by no later than
4pm Wednesday 20th March 2024

Ngai Te Rangi Iwi members are invited to apply for a Fisheries Tertiary Education Grant to assist with their tertiary studies.
All applicants will be studying towards the protection and improvement in the area of fishing, commercial, customary and recreational as well as but not including the sustainable growth of fisheries business and operations. Grants will be distributed at the discretion of the NFAL Tertiary Education Grants Committee only.

Marine Environmental Studies
Grants are available to applicants who are registered members of Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi only (to check if you are registered, ring 07 575 3765) and applying for full or part time study in New Zealand, all applicants are eligible to apply each year only in accordance with the criteria stated in the Ngāi Te Rangi Fisheries AHC Ltd Policy.

Te Rangihouhiri began his journey from Whāngārā to Hakurānui to Whakapau Kōrero to Pōporohuamea where he died. Following his death and after many significant battles, his descendants who became known as Ngāi Te Rangi settled in Tauranga Moana.
