Rangatahi Kaimahi | Community Action - Youth, Alcohol and Drugs

Permanent - Full Time 
 
This role aims to reduce alcohol and other drug related harm for/with young people and their whānau and wider communities by support, coordination and implementation of projects that will significantly contribute to the achievement of the programme outcomes:

• Increased informed community discussion and wānanga about issues related to alcohol and other drugs
• Implementation of effective policies and practices to reduce alcohol and other drug related harm
• Increased local capacity to support young people in education, employment and recreation
• Reduced supply of alcohol and other drugs to young people. 

Be able to:

• Build and maintain effective professional and community relationships
• Implement effective programme plans
• Drug and alcohol related community wānanga facilitation and support
• Regularly create and take advantage of learning opportunities.
